Working in Partnership for the people of Greater Essex and beyond
The consortium of local Citizens Advice charities serving Essex, Southend and Thurrock
Citizens Advice Greater Essex is a collaboration between the local Citizens Advice offices in the county of Essex including the unitary authorities of Southend and Thurrock.
Each local Citizens Advice is a local charity in its own right, firmly rooted in its local community and serving its local population

We get more done together
Our membership includes all ten local Citizens Advice charities in our area. Between them, they recruit, train and support over 600 volunteers and around 100 staff to support local residents with their advice needs.
Citizens Advice Greater Essex is the consortium body for the service as a whole, supporting our shared interests and ensuring our activities are coordinated to achieve maximum impact, both in terms of direct services to communities and towards our aim to advocate for change and achieve influence where we see the need to do so.
Since 2019, we’ve developed services and initiatives to the value of around £2.5 million per annum, supporting a range of services, initiatives and delivering impact over and above what the local network of Citizens Advice charities achieve locally.
